Kore Üniversitelerine Başvururken İstenilen Essay

Aradan kaç yıl geçmiş, kore üniversitesine başvururken essay istemişlerdi. Bende önce taslak halinde türkçe bişeyler sallamıştım, sonra ingilizceye çevirir yollarım diye...bunu da eksiduyuru sitesinde "essay"ım nasıl olmuş yardımcı olur musunuz diye yayınlamıştım, o essayimi değişik bir forumda görünce şaşırdım :D

Neyse; essay işi eğer bir Amerikan üniversitesine başvurulacaksa çok ciddiye alınması gereken birşey, adamlar eksik virgül'den bile seni üniversiteye almayabiliyor :D Ama Kore için gördüğüm kadarıyla çok önemli değil, eğer yabancı öğrenciysen...Şu tamamen salldığım, hemen hemen herşeyin hayal ürünü olan essay'imle kabul edildim ya diyek bişey yok... :D İşin diğer gıcık yanı taransfer ve değişim öğrencilerinden essay istemiyorlar sanırım, sadece direkt öğrencilerden istiyorlar...

İşte ölümüne salladığım essay, kendinize referans yapabilir, biraz değiştirip sizde kullanabilirsiniz ama birebir aynısını copy-paste yaparak başvuru yapmamanız gerektiğini söylemeye bile gerek görmüyorum :D

When I hear the name "Samsun", suddenly I smile. Because it reminds me of the famous Korean brand (Samsung) and also the name of the city in Turkey which my mother was born and lived there and which I had the best memories in my childhood. My interest to South Korea and Korean language starts right here. My grandfather was a leading person in Samsun’s village. Other old villagers always visited my grandfather for talking about their memories about the Korean War. My grandfather’s village was famous about Korean War veterans which fought for South Korea. Since I went to high school all year, at summer vacation I’ve been in my grandparent’s village for 2 months and I had listened their stories. I remember their memories and successes. Especially I remember one of them named Batuhan that fought in Kuruni War. I’ll never forget his stories and voice when he told me his memories.

I guess I was in the second grade. We went to forest for a picnic. The place was at the south side of the city and windy. And it wasn’t so flat. My friends were playing with balls on the road and older people were trying to put on a fire for cooking. I don’t know why but suddenly I wanted to climb to the hill. The hill was really high and perpendicular. Everybody was so busy so they couldn’t know that I was going to climb to the hill. So that’s why I’ve started to climb there quickly. It wasn’t so hard. I’ve climbed there quickly because I was really excited for the landscape. So at the time they realized that I wasn’t there so they started to search me. I was hearing them shout but I was living the moment. It had taken so long. I see that there wasn’t such a different thing. Same mountains, same small villages... So I’ve remembered that Korean veterans memories about the Chiri mountain. I thought how same was the mountain with this mountain?

They say humans interests, talents happen at primary school. I’m thinking now and I realized that my interest for Korea happened at those times. When I was at the university I learned Korean alphabet by myself and I made my Korean language better. My first book about Korea was Kidari Ajeossi (daddy long legs) and first my international book was “Pol and Virjini”. I’ve found it at my grandmother’s house. It looked really old. Actually I’ve never found out whose book it was. My father always bought my lesson books. But I couldn’t want money for other books cause I was shy for that. I was luckier when I was at the middle school. Because every year I had a chance to read lot of books in our school’s library. At those times I was reading ““Under the Dome is a novel by Stephen King”. And it was the most impressive book for me.

During my spare time(s) I like to play computer games and those especially StarCraft and Age Of Empire 2.. Also I want to learn more about Korean history, literature, Korean Manhwa & Japanese Anime culture and I want to make detailed research about a problem "Dokdo Island" between Korea and Japan when I’ll be in Korea. At this context, my target is learning Korean language about 6 levels of the best way in South Korea and when I back to Turkey I want to share my memories, experience and research’s on a web site which I want to publish in the future in Turkish, English and Korean.
